Jim Chapman Named 2021 President of the Home Builders Association of Georgia

ATLANTA – Jim Chapman, president of Vinings-based Jim Chapman Communities, has been named President of the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG) for 2021. Chapman previously served the statewide organization as 2020 Vice President.  HBAG supports local Homebuilders Associations throughout the state of Georgia by advocating for the housing industry at the state level and acting as a liaison between the various local Homebuilders Associations and the National Homebuilders Association (NAHB). HBAG provides numerous educational programs for its members, produces industry-oriented publications and maintains committees for Government Affairs and Regulatory Affairs. www.hbag.org

Jim Chapman Communities is one of greater Atlanta’s premier homebuilders, having developed numerous single-family home neighborhoods, active adult communities and, now, resort-style cottage home rental communities. An Atlanta native and Certified Professional Home Builder, Chapman served as the Chairman of National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) 55+ Housing Industry Council in 2016 and as the Chairman of the NAHB’s Land Development Committee for 2019. Chapman is the Founding Chairman of the ALL Home Program, a voluntary statewide certification created by the Home Builders Association of Georgia to promote accessibility and universal design.
