Our team compiled a list of go-to holiday events to ensure your season is merry and bright.


Let the festivities begin with the Cartersville Christmas Parade on December 7 at 6 p.m., hosted by the Cartersville Exchange Club. Marvel at the dazzling floats, marching bands and the joyful spirit weaving through the heart of the city. After the parade, head to the Christmas Party in the Plaza from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. for live music and continued merrymaking.

For a family-friendly affair, slip into your coziest pajamas and head to the Tellus Science Museum on December 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Holiday PJ Party + Festival of Trains. This event promises a delightful day filled with door prizes, complimentary cupcakes, model train layouts, holiday make-and-take activities and the chance to meet Santa and The Grinch! Immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Gas South Arena on December 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. The Ghosts of Christmas Eve winter tour guarantees a mesmerizing musical journey, leaving concertgoers in awe. A must-see event for music lovers, the multi-platinum rock group’s performance promises to be a highlight of the season.

Join the Lawrenceville Hometown Holiday Parade on December 2 for a more traditional celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This festive extravaganza in Downtown Lawrenceville features floats, marching bands and even Santa himself, spreading joy and merriment throughout the streets.


On December 9 from 4 to 8 p.m., make your way to the Christmas Festival in Hampton, where Landrum’s CandyCane Drop steals the show. Enjoy a selfie snow globe station, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a tree lighting ceremony, food and craft vendors, Christmas characters, face painting, inflatables and an arts consortium art show – a perfect way to create cherished family memories.

If you can’t make it on December 9, kick off the holiday season on December 1 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting in Stockbridge. Capture the magic of the season with pictures with Santa, live entertainment, a holiday train ride, face painting and a visit to the Holiday Village.


Experience the charm of a bygone era at the Hofwyl-Broadfield Annual Christmas Tour on December 1 and 2. Stroll along illuminated paths under ancient oaks, tour the antebellum rice plantation and witness pre-Civil War re-enactments. Enjoy hot wassail, cookies and a special visit from Santa Claus. Tickets range between $5 and $10 depending on the visitor’s age.

For a glimpse into the Gilded Age, embark on the Holidays in History Tour on December 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Jekyll Island. Learn about the holiday traditions of America’s wealthiest families with guided tours through the National Landmark District.


Start your day with holiday magic at Breakfast with Santa on December 9 at 8:30 a.m. Little ones are encouraged to share their wishes, create crafts and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Capture the moments with a professional photographer, and keep an eye out for Buddy the Elf making a special appearance!

For a luminous experience, don’t miss the Deck the Hollow Holiday Light Show at Bear Hollow Zoo. Running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 10 at 5:30 p.m., this dazzling display features holiday lights, local artist vendors, animal encounters and photo opportunities for a memorable evening.
