Posted on: February 28th, 2019

The old saying “if you want something done, give it to a busy person” certainly holds true for Jim Chapman, founder and CEO of Jim Chapman Communities. In addition to developing some of Greater Atlanta’s premier neighborhoods and active adult communities, Jim makes the time to be involved in the homebuilding industry on a local, regional and national level. Jim has recently had the honor of being installed as Chairman of the National Association of Home Builders’ Land Development Committee. He was also named Second Vice Chair of the NAHB’s Single Family Builder Committee. Both announcements were made at the NAHB’s International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Feb. 23, 2019.

Jim is no stranger to professional recognition. He was named 2018 “55+ Builder of the Year” by the NAHB and served as Chairman of NAHB’s 55+ Housing Industry Council in 2016. He was elected 2018 President of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and is the Founding Chairman of the ALL Home Program, a voluntary statewide certification created by the Home Builders Association of Georgia to promote accessibility and universal design.
