Jim Chapman Receives 2017 HBAG BEAM Award

Posted on: September 27th, 2017

Every year, the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG) bestows the BEAM (Builders Engaging Associate Members) Award on one builder or local entity that best exemplifies the motto, “It’s good business to do business with a member.”

At the recent HBAG Fall Board meetings, Jim Chapman, president of Jim Chapman Communities, the Atlanta homebuilder who specializes in luxury and 55+ communities throughout the metro area, was honored for his support of other HBAG members.

“This award serves to encourage builder members to use the goods and services offered by member companies. HBAG is proud to recognize this vitally important teamwork,” says Heather Bounds, Associate VP of HBAG. State winners will compete for the national BEAM Award that is presented at the NAHB’s International Builders’ Show in January 2018.

“Whenever I can, I am eager to do business with another HBAG member. It is important to support and elevate other Georgia companies,” says Chapman. “I applaud the HBAG’s mission and its objective to grow the homebuilding industry throughout metro Atlanta and Georgia.”

At the same event, Chapman was elected HBAG’s 2017/2018 Vice President/Secretary; he is slated to serve as the HBAG’s president in 2020/2021.
